Florence, Italy

Florence, Italy, the place where according to my Ap Euoprean history teacher, this is the place where the Renniances started. This is a city of old culture, with art and artcutucre by both Brunellischi and Michekango, just walking the streets will feel like you have escaped to another time. ( ideas based on reading http://www.visitflorence.com/florence-museums/)

Two hotels that looked amazing to stay at were the Relais Santa Croce by Baglioni Hotels and Grand Hotel Villa Cora (both found at Booking.com). the Grand Hotel Villa Cora is a 19th century building one mile from the center of Florence. The Grand Hotel Villa includes 46 rooms. While the Relais Santa Croce is a 18th century building, the building has 24 rooms and is a chain. It is located between Santa Croce Basilica and the cathedral.

Places to eat are very important so i found three great places to eat for lunch, dinner, and desert. we will start with lunch because it’s one of my favorite meals of the day. i would eat at Acqua al 2. Acqua is found at Via della Vigna Vecchia 40r, Florence, the cruise is very good and has a great train of follows who go there for the sampling of many foods. (to see more click here http://travel.nytimes.com/travel/guides/europe/italy/tuscany-and-umbria/florence/53841/acqua-al-2/restaurant-detail.html) Now for dinner i would say pizza is always a good choice so i would try Il Pizzaiuolo, it has a huge waiting list so get resvations early but the pizza is said to be amazing. For desert you got to have gelato a desert invented in Italy, to buy it i would say go to Badiani, this place even has its own local lore on how they got there recipes. Florence was one of the major Italian city-states back during the Italian Renascence. To see this all you have to do is look at the city itself. Two things to see in Florence would be Michelangelo marble David and Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fior, the dome of this cathedral was done by Brunelleschi is a architectural master piece.
